New Test for Lyme Disease (WDJ August 2011, will be posted February 2012)
Cornell's new multiplex Lyme assay offers earlier diagnosis and can distinguish between early and chronic disease stages. IDEXX's Quant C6 test still provides one function that the new test does not: the ability to measure response to treatment. See Lyme Disease Multiplex Testing for Dogs for more information.

University of Tennessee is enrolling dogs with arthritis in the hips, elbows or knees to evaluate the benefits of shock wave therapy (ESWT), low level laser therapy (LLLT), transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), and acupuncture.
